Haven’t run in over 30 years, but I do cycle some. Can this work for century training?

It works to build strength and stamina and give us a new lease on life

I’m not sure what century training is so can’t answer your question maybe you would explain?

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

I take it that by century training you mean cycling. Certainly C25K will build cardiovascular effectiveness and stamina, but running uses leg muscles in a totally different way to cycling, so may be of limited use, but to my mind is much more meditative than being on a bike.

Enjoy your journey.
