What’s a good alternate work out to running on days in between? Is this a good idea? Toying with the idea of a cycle/yoga/some home workouts but not sure what I should be doing
Tips for warming up and down would be good too currently I’m just walking (don’t know if this is good or bad or if there’s something else I should be doing)
Thanks

All 3 things you’re considering would be excellent for “rest” days and really help your running. The only thing to avoid is high impact stuff (both feet repetitively off the ground and impacting with it for any sustained period)
With regards to cycling, a 40k ride would be great cross training... for a cyclist used to regularly doing such rides. I don’t cycle, so for me that ride would harm my ability to run! The key with all exercise is to start small and build slowly, in a similar fashion to C25K.
Walking is good... Active 10 style brisk walking especially so as it has big cardiovascular benefits.
