So my last run was Monday evening and had no problems, did a moderate pace for 25mins. Since Tuesday however I've had a pain in the ball of my foot that's worse when I stretch or put weight on it. Had a look on Dr Google and it seems to fit the symptoms for metatarsalgia with the feeling like a pebble in the ball of your foot when you walk, so I've cancelled my morning run today.
Anyone had similar pain or know how long to rest for? Was just about to start the bridge to 10k so really gutted and looking for ways to recover and get back out there!

Very few runners do not get stopped from running at some point, by one condition or another and we all need to wait until we are pain free and moving comfortably before restarting, otherwise we run the risk of exacerbating the condition.
As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.
After that loss of condition is gradual.
All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
