Week 9 Run 1

After a nice long slow 15 mile family bike ride yesterday, which may or may not have included a stop at a hostelry, I was ready for week 9.

Up nice and early this morning, a nice cup of green tea, I opened every door in the conservatory (there's 3 of them, I'm not talking Kew Gardens or anything here) and onto the treadmill I stepped.

I synched the treadmill and Laura and started the 5 minute warm up walk, nearly two minutes later I realised I'd not started the run on my Garmin, so the run reports as being 38 minutes including warm up and warm down walks.

Nice controlled slow deep, diaphragmatic breathing, shoulders back and head up, plodding along at a nice slow and steady pace, my mind wandering but keeping note of my breathing.

The 30 minutes seemed to fly by and before I knew it it was over and I was doing the warm down walk.

2 more runs before consolidation starts.

I really can't wait until Friday.

Happy running everyone!
