Week 9 - Run 1

I completed my first 30 minutes this morning and feel wonderful. I can taste it, it’s so close now.

I usually track my whole workout on Strava (including the warm up and down), but today started tracking the run section only because I wanted to know how far I was running in the 30 minutes. It’s 3k and I’m really pleased with that.

I always go slow and steady (I think you could set a metronome to my pace I’m so steady) and I think that must be my superpower, because I finished today’s run with my breathing almost normal and my legs feeling strong. I felt I could have gone on and on.

I am still extremely overweight, so don’t want to push my luck, but I can’t imagine ever being able to speed up to be honest. My plan after graduation is to consolidate the 30 minutes for a bit, then push to 5k, then work to bring the time of the 5k down.

Have a great weekend everyone ☺️

Well done on your first 30 minutes 🙌🙌. Your consolidation plan sounds great. Slow and steady wins every time in my book
