New trainers 👟

Decided to give Nike a go, have ASICS at the moment but they are my usual size 4, and now have holes in the toes! Went for 4.5 this time( last time I was not a runner, they were gym trainers!) so fingers crossed they’re going to be ok 🤞 I usually have Nike for my every day mooching about trainers 😁

I’ve always loved my Nikes. I ordered some new ones recently but just couldn’t get on with those strange ‘elf ear’ heels they’ve been putting on so many of their running shoes so I had to send them back. I wish they still did the Air Zoom Pegasus 33’s, they were my favourites.

I must admit that part is odd, not run in them yet, but wearing them around the house has been ok. About to take them for a test run so we shall see. Fingers crossed 🤞

I’ve had Pegasus before, not sure which version, but that was before I was running, quite a few years back

How did the first new shoes run go? That new heel seems to have had a mixed response on their website, some like it, others say it felt like the shoe was slipping off (even if it wasn’t).

I also had my first Pegasus long before I started running, they were so light, comfortable and supportive.

I haven’t seen this new heel style on other brands yet, I wonder if it’ll end up being a new style trend or a short lived experiment. Let me know how they felt for running?

They were great, I’m not sure if it’s because I went up half a size or if it was just because Nike fit my feet better. I didn’t really notice a difference with the new style of heel if I’m honest, but what I did notice was a lot less knee pain during and after my run today.

It’s only my first run in them but overall I’m very impressed so far, fingers crossed for future runs 🤞

That’s great to hear! I understand they’ve completely remodelled the bits in the sole to make them more supportive and responsive when running. Your feet clearly liked them! As did mine! Mine just didn’t get along with the heels. I was so disappointed. I might go back to Nike’s website and see if they do any other running shoes with this latest technology but without the elf ear heels.

Happy running!

Good idea, I would think they’d have some without it. I’m lucky I have an outlet shopping centre near me, which has a Nike shop so if I need to I can go and get the older styles( which they didn’t have online). The only thing I was worried about when buying these was that they were the older children’s rather than women’s but they seem to fit just as well and for half the price! 😁

Think I’ll try the stores too. I think there might be a Nike store at the local designer outlet centre, so I’ll give that a go, assuming they’re open now and allow you to try things on. Thanks for all the feedback and ideas, much appreciated 👟😀

Ours was open, and you were allowed to try trainers on, just not clothes as the changing rooms weren’t open.

Good luck in finding ones you like 😊
