I did my first run yesterday after graduating from Couch to 5K. I decided to try a different route which turned out to be slightly shorter than my usual run however it had a couple of hills in it so felt harder. Is it better to do longer runs to build stamina or to do slightly harder ones any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, I’d be careful about trying to do too much too soon after graduating. Generally the advice is to consolidate for a few weeks, just running 3x30 mins each week. I wouldn’t try to run any more than 10% more every week after that as it could lead to injury.
After that you could head over to the Bridge to 10K group for inspiration and advice.
They have a magic plan to get you up to 10K if you want to have a go at that later on.
Congratulations on your graduation🏆 Take it steady and enjoy your running!
