Calf problem?

Hi there,

I started Couch to 5k about 7 weeks ago, I'm on Week 6 Run 1 today, I've just had 6 days off, as my inner calf seems to be playing up. It's absolutely fine when I'm not running, and it was fine for most of my run today but just at the end it starts getting tight & I get this ache almost in the inner of my calf.

I've taken time off running, I've tried stretches, icing, heat, elevation, but everytime I run it comes back. What should I do?

It's not a pain as such so it's not affecting me that badly, I just don't know whether this is something I just need to push through? I'm so frustrated because I'm doing so well with the app, and I'm feeling really good, it's just this that's making me a bit nervous of how to continue ☹️

Thank you!

Don't push through it, cos it'll get worse.

You've probably gone to hard with your runs.

Slow is best for a starter. Rest and gentle stretches then if you think your ready go nice and gentle. C25k is not a race.

If your new to running then it will take some time for your muscles and tendons to get into good working order.
