Week 5 shock

After graduating last year and not maintaining the running, I decided to give it another go. This is the second time this year I've started. I have up last time as the jogging was really hurting my knee. This time though, going real slow and seems to be ok. So I get on the treadmill today on w5r2 expecting to be doing 3 X 5 mins running. I nearly fell off the treadmill when I saw it was 2 X 8 mins!!!! I thought, I'll just see if I can get through it, thought I'd accidentally clicked on the wrong run. Finished - very pleased!!!! Checked - it was right. What's that all about??? Then the next one is even worse!!! I seriously don't remember this from last time. Or have I just blanked it out for a reason?! 😂

Maybe you’ve shut the whole experience out from last time 🤣. It was exactly as described when I did it two years ago, and I don’t think it had changed for a long time before that. The next one isn’t “even worse” it’s much better... while you don’t remember it, you have done it before... you can do it again. Slow and steady as you go, especially in the first half.

Great job getting this run done, I always like to know what I’m running before I go out, a surprise during warmup would throw me a little off!

I really thought I could not do this. I was fine with Run 1 but 8 mins suddenly seemed a bit long....
