Am so annoyed with myself! Finished C25K a couple of weeks ago and been happily consolidating - getting a bit faster each run. Yesterday met a pal for a long (9 mile) ramble in the Dales, fell and twisted my ankle around mile 6. Finished the walk, drove home, now sporting egg size swelling on ankle and can only hobble. So RICE and some exercises found on NHS website but clearly can’t run. Am worried about losing hard won fitness - so any tips on what I can do to maintain fitness while it mends, and also how long before I can get back out there? Any guidance really really appreciated. Thank you.

I feel for you. Having the same problem .... was doing one of my consolidation runs and have injured my knee. Now worried all that hard work is going to go to waste ☹️
