Everything seemed to fall in place today. It was warm but with a gentle breeze, Iβd had a great nights sleep and woke up refreshed and felt ready to meet the final 28min challenge. As we set off my calves began to ease much earlier than normal and I found a good steady rhythm. The point Jo had been saying β10mins, youβre doing wellβ all week came and went. It was only a little way after but I was pleased. Smile firmly in place, on I jogged, yes my fellow snails πyou heard right, I did say jog. Not at the end and I was already jogging along π.
On I toddled singing and chatting, then just after my nemesis hill the gremlins came to call, those pesky blightersπ‘. My legs started to flag, I could feel my calves tighten, the doubts circling. But no! No room for gremlins today, out came the mental baseball bat and BOOM, BOOM off they went flying. I pushed to find my rhythm again.
5 mins said Jo, I dug deep and as much as I love my inner π I searched a little deeper and hunted did I have an inner π’? Was she ready to make an appearance? Yes, yes she was. A little rusty (not been used since I was at school), and most definitely not very graceful but there she was pushing me along to the end. As I rounded the corner on the trail and just as Jo said βThatβs it, youβve done itβ, we reached the end of actual trail as well π.
This was such a great one for me and I achieved my 3k too. On to our last week, canβt really believe it. Definitely time to celebrate a little (not too much, save that for next week)π₯³ππ
