I have recently completed the C25k and I am undertaking consolidation runs.
I do find that my calf muscles ache sometimes when I’m running. Are there any exercises that would help with this?
Also I have been looking at the knee strengthening exercises. There are about 10 + different ones on the NHS page. Which ones would you say are most crucIal?
Many thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum - it is so inspirational and supportive.

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Many people do not hold their stretches for long enough or put enough effort in. Hold post run stretches for 30 seconds and make sure the pull is strong enough to be on the verge of discomfort.
Do all the knee exercises......they work different combinations of muscles.
