I am not a runner but I am on week 5 cannot believe I am still doing it though it’s a struggle I did run 1 which was 3 five minute runs I thought no way then run to was a shock as she said 2 eight minute runs did not see that coming don’t know how I managed but run 3 was 20 minutes this is where I hit a block and repeated the eight minute runs as I immediately told myself I cannot do it Laura is right a lot of it is mentally I would like to get to a point where I say I love running and can see a difference

You run.......you are a runner.
Well done on your progress and you are quite correct, this is a mental battle, so you require self belief. This breakdown of W5 may help you put it into perspective healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
If that doesn't persuade you then I suggest you read this post about mental approach healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
If you struggle on any run, then just slow down. Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.

I was apprehensive about that first run without a "break" but it's really not that big a step up from the two 8 minute runs that you've already done (twice by the sounds of it). It's all about finding the right pace and rhythm and then keeping going.
Keep up the good work
