How do I keep running up hill? And by hill, I mean slight gradient!! I’m repeating week 4 as I cannot keep running for the first 3 & 5mins but can the second (it’s downhill!!)
Running up hill: How do I keep running up hill... - Couch to 5K
Running up hill

To learn to run up hills you need to run up hills..........
If you can't keep going uphill, turn around and run back down..........next time see if you can get a bit further up.
Hills build strength and stamina, so are your friends.......embrace them.
I have no choice but embrace them, I live in the hills! But after running-ish I cannot sustain up hill for more than2 mins. And it’s not improving. Do I have to keep running week 4, week after week after week? It’s demoralising.
I run in Devon......it is hilly and as I say those hills make you stronger.
i realised this when i did dead flat parkrun, with just one little ramp up to a footbridge. As I approached I could hear someone closing down on me, but as soon as we hit this very minor gradient, their heavy breathing receded and they never did overtake me......but I did get my all time 5k pb........thanks to the hills.
Can you run round the hills as opposed to up and down them?
Sadly not. I live in a Lancashire village that is on a hill. It’s just up and down. I’m trying to find flat roads to loop around but there isn’t many and it’s a bit too short. I will get there, I was just hoping there was some advice on sustaining a run up hill.

I find it helps to slow down a little and push through. My run ends on a hill and that always helps me push to the end
