Have now done 3 consolidation runs. Did Stepping Stones twice and have just done the NHS Speed one which I quite enjoyed! The 165 pace was a bit challenging to sustain even for a min but for the first 30 secs it actually felt like a more natural running pace for me. I will aim to do this one a few more times until 165 feels more sustainable . Enjoyed it even in the damp and drizzle so that is a plus!

Running in the rain is nowhere near as unpleasant as you might imagine - once you get warmed up it's positively refreshing!

Running fast is so different isn't it? I can't sustain speed for very long, but while I do it feels great - everything works together so well, it feels a really fluid motion ... then I start to think about tripping over my feet and the steam train roaring up behind me (which is really just the sound of my lungs on overdrive) ... still, as you discovered it's great while it lasts 😀. The speed, stamina and stepping stones podcasts can all be fun for a bit of variety. Enjoy!
