I’m not an expert but this happened to me a few years ago and it stopped me completely. This time I’ve been following the Japanese Slow Jogging technique and I have been fine. No problems at all.
It’s might be worth having a look. I haven’t been running daily either and sometimes not for 3-4 days.
But im still here 👍

I have had a cruxiate ligament restructure and a meniscul tear fixed and had “failed” to run many times before - I’m 55 next week. But this time I followed the couch to 5 k to the letter and did stretches after each run and I’m about to graduate (today hopefully!). The slow progress seems to have strengthened my knees and the day or two days between runs have been vital. I just told myself I’d keep it up as long as I could - didn’t really want to put pressure on myself. But here I am on run 3 week 9. Good luck!
