I hurt my groin a few weeks ago and I’ve been trying to rest it. I’ve only been running once a week but it obviously isn’t healing well. I’m up to week 8 run 3 and I’m concerned about losing my stamina that I’ve worked so hard far if I take a few weeks off. How quickly will I lose what I’ve gained? I’m so upset as I’ve really come to love running and all that I’ve achieved

Don't worry about that, you can be off running for two weeks without losing any motivation, however, even if it was a little longer than that you would only need to go back a few weeks, I hope you won't be off running too long, but do wait until the groin has healed.
I'm in the same situation as you.
I had happily reached week 7 when knee pain stopped me. I don't have any pain when when running, but walking is a totally different matter. So after W7R2, i had to give in and start resting.
After a week i attempted W6R1, mainly to test my knee. The stamina was still there, the run itself was ,shall i say, easy but again the after effects on my knee were still there, although not as bad.
I have now had 2 weeks out, the knee pain is virtually gone, unless i am walking on the pavement (strange, i know) and then it is minimal. So, i am about to prepare for restarting at W6R1 again. This is only really 1 week back and it will hopefully ease me back in gently.
Maybe go back to W6 so that you have some walking intervals just to see how your injury has healed and see how you go from there. I'm sure you'll be fine and get back into it quickly. You will probably do much better than you expect
So good to hear from you Scoochie. I think I'll have to take time off as my knees are so painful - I thought I was flying on W7R1, but now can't bear to think about running. Will definitely have to take some time off.....Boooo. But let's not give up - we've come so far!
I had a practice long walk, and it wasnt too bad although my knee was sore for a few hours.
I'm thinking of chancing it and maybe going to w5r1 just to see how my knee lasts.
The good thing is we are still motivated to keep doing it and looking forward to getting back out there. That must be a good sign
I think you start to lose it all after about two weeks of not running.
