Last year I was in hospital for 10 days due to DVT and PE. It was a scary just as it is now but I never thought I would be running again as I could not walk across the room back then.
Due to Covid My daughter is back home from Uni and told me about this challenge. I am in my early 40’s and a size 14 classed as overweight. She is young a size 10 but not great with running as her heart rate jumps quite high. So we both decided to motivate each other to be healthy.
I am currently unemployed so I am up until late hours and we find that running in the evenings is easier as I am a little conscious about the way I look.
We tend to run between 10-12 where there are not many people around on the streets and it is a lot cooler.
The first week there were 7 intervals and I could only manage 5, I was so breathless.
I am now on week 2 run 1 and so far enjoying the challenge. Hopefully I can get to week 9 before my daughter leaves for uni again so I can carry on myself.
Well done to everyone out there who has succeeded and keep going to those who have just started. If you put you mind to it you can do it.
