Tech help please!!

Hi all, I hope someone can help me! I really find having music on helps my running but I've just had a new phone and a tech problem has put me right off my stride on tonights run!

I have just bought a Huawei Y6s. It connects to my fitbit charge 3 on Bluetooth fine, and all week I've had it connected to my envivo36 jam pot-style speaker playing music at home on Spotify. Tonight, I connected it to my gv-bt400 headphones for my run a d started Spotify. .. No issues to start off with.

A minute later, the music stopped and my headphones disconnected. I reconnected, pressed play... Then it happened again. Clearly, my headphones were disconnecting when my phone screen turned off.

I still did my run, but missed my music terribly!

I have googled the problem, and followed two suggestions : one) turn off "manage automatically" for Spotify in the battery settings and allow "run in background two) add my headphones to Google smart lock as a trusted device to stop the phone automatically locking when connected.

This is a partial fix - it will keep my headphones connected and my music playing while I run so long as I don't manually lock my phone. However, this poses another couple of little problems :

1) the mobile data, Bluetooth, location "on" and keeping my screen on is killing my battery

2) my finger naturally sits on the power button when I hold it... So I keep locking it by accident

At home, if the screen locks, my jampot speaker doesn't get disconnected so I'm certain there's a setting or something I'm missing here.

Can anyone help? It would be much appreciated!

Not sure on the main question re headphones... maybe get a running belt/armband/backpack and turn auto screen lock off.

With regards to the battery location services are not needed for the C25K app, and I’m assuming you can turn mobile data off too, so long as music is downloaded.

Thanks unfitnomore! Unfortunately the fitbit neefs the location on and its only free Spotify so do need the data! Never mind I'll work it out one way or another x
