C25K done, graduation runs done and few runs done since and I'm as determined as ever to keep it up, every other day, or the day after every other day if I can. It's common knowledge that if you don't use it you lose it; it's been said on here many times by so many runners who for one reason or another took a break from running, ranging from a few weeks to a few months, to a few years - and many say they needed to start from scratch. Well more power to those folk who had the will to pick themselves up and start all over again - kudos to you if that's you!
I don't want to stop, and with luck and a fair wind I will stay healthy so that I can keep this up for many years now. Sitting at my desk for so many hours every day now however, my leg muscles think I've given up on them, and then when I do run, I think they have given up on me! The toxic 10s lasts the full 10 minutes, if not more, but now I know at least, it will pass and I'll get into my rhythm.
It does not seem to get easier for me, perhaps because I am so pinned to the desk these days. No-one believes you're 'out-of-office', obviously, or on a call, in a virtual meeting, have work stuff of your own to do! ...So this is working from home is it? It's harder now than it ever was!
The investment into a treadmill has paid off, though I am still very much a road runner myself.
Also, my sister-in-law has now been persuaded and has just finished W1 R2. Am spreading the love and benefits of C25K. I just need to get them onto this forum now - for some fantastic peer support that I know they'll benefit from too.
Keep running, keep safe.
