After a while..

I have continued running after some time on the IC again. Tried to use Michael again to get back into things and a shell of week 5. The App was all crackly and annoying so abandoned it and resorted to just timing myself.

First run was a struggle so did interval running then next run did 25 mins and today did 28 minutes. As ever the first 10 minutes was tough then settled sensibly into the rhythm into wind too. The return was great bowling along with the wind behind me. My new companion is an Audible audio book which is totally engrossing.

I have a quiet route without a lot of walkers and with a lot of zigzagging over roads, grass, off roads etc I totally avoided folk even though I might have looked a little mad. Mostly, people acknowledged what I was doing and gave a nod or a wave. I read somewhere on a local forum about a view that runners should be given a wider berth due to bodily excretions if I can put it boldly!

Enough rambling- I came home hot and happy.

Such a relief as self doubt starts to creep in and one has doubts that one will get it together like before!! So reassuring and good for the mind .
