Sore Knees!

Just wanted to say how reassuring it is reading so many posts about sore knees! I know that might sound odd, but at least I know I'm not alone. I've taken the advice, read all the information I can from the useful links, and am now doing the knee strengthening exercises daily, in fact I did them twice yesterday! This morning I tried running on the grass verges where possible, rather than pavements or tarmac tracks. All of this does seem to be helping. I have taken 1 rest day in between so far and have managed to run the next day. (We go for an hour's walk on my rest day). I think the knee strengthening exercises and running on grass has been the best thing to ease the soreness.

Excellent... hopefully you’ll soon be running pain free. Strangely for someone who arrived here with bad knees, any niggles I get now are anywhere but in the knees. Keep on working, it’s so worth it... and thanks for sharing this now, we have plenty of new starters and it’s a common issue early on.

If you are kind to your knees they will soon toughen up and be stronger than ever.

Wonderful. I also started with dodgey knees and use the strength and flexibility program to solve the knee niggles. It’s surprising how the off day exercising has helped the aches and pains more than running.
