π€£ great photos! Being able to get out once a day for a run will certainly help keep us mentally and physically during these scary times βΉοΈ
I gave a little cheer (it was very clearly audible mind you, I could tell from the tutting coming from hubbie's armchair π) when he mentioned running and cycling!
My daughter tells me he didn't even mention teachers in his list of key workers π
If I take his 'essential work and cannot work from home' literally, then I think I have to stop work. Seems a real shame as I drive and don't have to go into anyone's house and don't need to see anyone (gardener) so I don't think it makes much difference to the spread of the virus whether I work or not, but it will make a difference to my elderly clients and my bank account. As I'm self-employed it leaves me in a bit of a pickle - there has been very little allowance given so far for self employed people. But. I . Can. Still. Run. And so can you π
(oh, and my daughter doesn't have to work every day - there is a rota so she may get two days off a week so long as she doesn't need to be called in, better than we thought after allπ ).
I gave a loud whoop when he said running was okay too - and Iβm not even back to running yet.
I do hope you will be able to carry on with your gardening business Linda. I bet your customers consider you to be essential !
It's a tricky one. I'm sure Boris won't think it's essential! I'll see how many cars are on the road in the morning π€. Half of me would of course like to have some time off, but it's better if I can carry on for all sorts of reasons. I'm sure others are in far worse positions.
Really pleased for your daughter, Linda.π
Thank you. I hope your day went OK too; seems like some schools are having issues with some parents, if the press are to be believed.
Mr Speedy has just had an email saying his allotment is out of bounds from midnight. He's just gone out to plant his potatoes ...
ππ!
Saw this on an online post, Linda. It's a bill waiting to be passed. Fingers crossed for you.
Great post and raised a smile. The expert on the news demonstrating the huge effect this could have was very convincing. I will be out for a run first thing then back in to work.
I think work will provide a worthwhile distraction. Thanks again.
Thank goodness heβs finally said it. There are still so many people not social distancing. I shall be doing my run and then staying in with my cats. I have my Pilates online, my exercise gear collected over the years, and my garden to sit in out the back. I have my crochet , loads of books in my iPad, and tons of things I have been waiting to catch up with in Amazon Prime and Netflix. Keep safe everyone π
You sound well set up - take care.π
What sort of cats have you got? We have a very spoilt ginger tabby baby who is 16 in April and we will host her birthday party by video call!
If I can suggest: use your time also to clean up every single piece of forniture of your house...you canβt imagine what you find inside! (This is my last weeks experienceπ).
I hope youβll be able to continue running, but our Italian experience is different: no more than 200 mt from home and you feel so alone with your neighbors watching you you are an alien so youβll stop running quicklyπ
Annoyingly Iβve been doing this room by room, for the last few months as I have been decorating, so my house is almost straight and clean and tidy anyway. But I have a little bit of timing left to do ....
I feel for you over there - it must be dreadful- Iβm going to run outside as long as I can then resort to the treadmill.
Love the pics Sandraj39. Iβm glad we donβt have to run like that ...

Hahahaha. Love that!
Stay safe and well and run when you can, enjoy what fresh air is there

π Brilliant. I am running my graduation run later this morning. I was considering donning a disguise like this if Borisβ decision had been any different!!
I wonder! We run every other day, can we bank those days we don't run to use as a "luxury"? Convert them to points and we all know what points mean....... PRIZES!!!
But to be serious, we do only run three times a week, but I think I may take the opportunity (which has always been there, but....) to do bike rides. Although after graduating a while ago, I am only just getting the whole breathing thing right, so I want to try a different discipline to see how that goes.
I'm still running and glad I and my husband are allowed out for a walk - being indoors might drive us stir-crazy.
Please give a thought to my son, and all others, who is moving house today!! Stressful enough at the best of times.
