This is being asked a lot and while we are not spokespeople for the government, under the current guidance, I interpret it as being totally permissible to go out running as long as you preserve your social distancing.

You are less likely under those circumstances to become a victim of the virus.

Run while you can.

Interesting question which I’ve contemplated over the weekend, being in the high risk group. The guidance appears to be that it’s ok if you’re not in the high risk group as long as you stay at least 2 metres away from people (not always possible on footpaths). But if you’re in the high risk group the guidance is not to go out at all.

I thought about going out early when there are less people about, but there are still people about albeit only a few. I decided to stop, as I think we need to follow the guidance, and not just pick the bits we prefer. We’re all ranting about panic buying, and idiots still going to pubs/cafes/restaurants (before forced closure) and cramming into markets/shops/parks over the weekend - all of which we were advised not to do. So, we need to follow the guidelines that apply to our own individual circumstances imo. 🙂

Think the saviour for me will be clocks changing this weekend. My preference has always been early morning. Hopefully able to keep 2 metres apart at 5 am. 😳
