Well done for starting thats the hardest bit.. Just try and stay focused on each run dont rush ahead and if you have a bad day dont stress.. More experienced runners will answer any of your questions and keep you motivated... Enjoy getting fitter..

Thanks

Hey congratulations on doing run 1, I found the first week the most challenging both physically and mentally, the best advice I had was to stay hydrated and most importantly to take it slow,

Don't panic tho it gets much better trust me,

You'll get loads of support and advice on here, good luck and enjoy your journey 😊💪👊

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on pacing.........slow down.......and many other topics.

Enjoy your journey.

The hardest run is the first and you got out there and completed it. Well done.

The key thing is to run slowly. It doesn't matter if your run and walk paces don't seem much different, just as long as you have a running motion going for those runs. You should run at a conversational pace, so you can talk to another person without getting out of breath. If you can't you are going too fast.

Do read the guide to C25k posted by IannodaTruffe. It is invaluable and full of great advice.

The following clip on Japanese Slow running was sent to me when I first strted and it really helped. Have a look. Lots of people on the forum have used it. Good luck.
