Stop running... go and get checked out, sports physio if you can or your GP... Rather than risk any more permanent serious injury to it, hold fast now... the runs wait
Don’t run. Get it checked out. That’s not failure... that’s a smart runner.
Completely snapping an Achilles can mean 3 months or so in a boot, and then a long journey back to where you are, so it’s never worth the risk.
The only failure for us is if we return to the couch permanently.
This is so frustrating for you. Please don’t run through pain hoping for the best, especially where the Achilles is concerned. My husband tore his completely playing a veterans’ rugby game a few years ago. He opted to allow it to heal naturally rather than have surgery. He spent 4 months in both plaster first, then a boot. It was a really long process. He then had regular physio. It is all healed up now and he still runs but his rugby playing days are definitely over! Please go and get it checked out and remember it’s not the end. Good luck.
