Woohoo, I finally did it! Week 1, run 1 under my belt and I blimmin' loved it. I've had so many things hold me back lately that it felt so good to actually get out there and get moving. I was pondering over whether to start my training with barefoot shoes or 'classic' running shoes and decided that as I'm starting from the very beginning I'd go with the barefoots. I'm glad I did, they made me nicely aware of my gait and I was able to quickly adjust my posture to correct anything I was slipping up on. This is important for me as I have MS and my feet don't always do exactly as they're expected! I'm amazed at how quickly those 60 second runs seem easier and the rest periods longer, and I'm looking forward to working through the programme and building up my strength. I can't wait for Wednesday's run!
Sorry for the babbling, it's the endorphins...

Really well done . I have just completed run 1 of week 1 . I don’t feel as exuberant as you but I do feel a real sense of achievement and I have made a start. I am 65 and have never run before so this is exciting!!
Well done Edward! I've never run before either, I just felt like I needed to do something. I'm 37 so that early middle age is here. I've also just finished a rather lengthy run of cancer treatment so I think it's time to show the world that I won and this is my life to live
