Seems I have arthritis in my big toes so when I run it shoves my toe backwards and causes awful pain , I’m gutted I can’t run all I can bear is slippers on my feet but I do have a stepper could I possibly use that until hopefully this passes?

Sorry to hear you can't run at the moment. I've never used a stepper, but I'd have thought if you can use it without it aggravating your foot, then carry on. It's tough finding the balance between doing no damage and keeping the foot mobile. I have arthritis in my thumbs, and the good news is that the flare-ups don't last too long. Hopefully it will be the same for you. Then maybe you can go to a sports shop and try on different running shoes, there may be a pair out there that can help.
