Restarting ....

2 weeks ago had the sudden onset of quite severe low back pain.. in my opinion not related to running at all but putting on socks 🙄 ! It necessitated avoiding anything too energetic so running or going to the gym was definitely out. So today with some trepidation I thought I would try again. Having reached half way through week 5, I felt I would go back to week 3 and see how things went. I was convinced I’d have lost all my hard earned stamina.. but delighted to discover it was actually easy! So to anyone in the same situation with an enforced break in training... don’t despair!

Well done on returning after a back injury - they really are the worst!

It is great to hear that all the work done in improving the cardio vascular health doesn't dissipate too rapidly!

Thank you! I’m feeling even more positive today as I’ve just repeated another week 3 run and felt so good I didn’t stop after 3 minutes but continued for 8! For me that’s such an achievement! Onwards and upwards!
