Nit run now since 18th Grrrrrr ... i’m hyper flexible so don’t alway recognise when something has got over stretched. So ended up with a groin strain.....
Seriously gone from someone who was loving the running to someone who can’t even get out of bed and walk down the stair without looking like a 90yr old!!!
K tape, paracetamol, hot water bottles and physio and only now is it starting to feel a little less painful.
Apparently its not the groin its the abductor muscle in you inner thigh.... well who knew.
Gonna have to go back gently..... getting old (47) means slowly slowly catchy monkey 🐒 with recovery !
Hoe you guys are warming up before you go out.
Enjoy!!!!!

Oh dear... a fair few folk have come unstuck as you have.. and had to learn the hard way. This is why we stress, in our post for Newbies.. the need for a good warm up and of course post run stretches too.
Strength and Flex work on some of your rest days is too , very important, especially as the runs get longer and there are loads of ideas pinned on the Strength and Flex forum
I post about injury too, in the last Off the Couch post and the need to listen to our body and to heal properly before returning to running. We all have to give our body time to heal.
