Good weather out there this morning early. Cold, still and dry.
On the home stretch when the dog started lurching and turning round. A man had followed us up the road. The dog, who usually lives by the sentiment that discretion is the better part of valour, was barking madly.
The guy stopped and I realised I was was holding out my arm to keep him away. He stopped and seemed sorry to have scared us. He asked if I had my phone. I said, “No.”
“I just need you to phone my number.”
I felt sorry but refused and carried on. Cars started to drive past then and I felt a bit safer.
It’s a shame I felt I couldn’t help; that asking a lone female for her help on an early street is disturbing.
Anyway. The run was great. I enjoyed just getting on slowly. I’ve even had to add to my route 😊

A bit of an unsettling run Comfort - I’m glad you had your dog with you. Well done on completing it ☺️ .
Always act on your gut feeling. Well done. I would have felt wobbly after that encounter! Well done you ! I’m about to start my journey on your path today in Barnes. L
You did right, you must take care of yourself. I’m glad you had your dog with you. Dogs are very intuitive, and the face he was barking when he wouldn’t normally tells a story. Stay safe 😁
That's a bit unnerving Comfortnotspeed, glad you had your dog for back up & you're OK. It's a sad reflection that we feel threatened by someone approaching us, but you absolutely did the right thing - better to be safe than sorry.
