I do lots of Tai Chi and Qigong but rarely raise my heart rate. I used to jog a little but my knees started to hurt and I developed a 'policeman's heel.' I want to start running again but don't want injuries. So let's see what happens.

Good luck! Interesting about the Qi Gong as I'm using that to warm up before running sometimes. It seems just a general all round thing to do@
Hope you enjoy your running adventure

There's lots of evidence that, done slowly and gradually, running can strengthen and support your knees.
Good luck. 👍

Slow and steady and try not to land on the heel of your foot.
