So before embarking on this odyssey, I bought a new pair of trainers. But not until I read the post about what a correctly-shod runner wears on their feet did I realise that a trail trainer did a particular job. I thought it was just a name - like the super-speedy or happy feet. Doh! 😳
In an attempt to do it properly this time, I'm having a gait analysis & hopefully will come away with the right feet covers for me. Question is, should I be doing W5R3, the first biggie, in new trainers?
Advice most welcome - as ever!

If you are buying trail shoes (because you only run offroad) then there is no need for a gait analysis, as all but a handful are made as neutral shoes.
