W5R1- knee pain

Good news is I completed the run. Bad news is my right knee is in terrible pain- to the point it triggers shooting pain when prodded.

What's the general advice with knee pain? My next run isn't due until Friday, but worried I'm just going to make it worse as I've had niggling pain for a few weeks now.

Don't run until the knee pain heals, once it does and hopefully it won't be long you can rerun that run.

Don't run in pain.

Follow the PRICE method of dealing with an injury, as linked to in the guide to the plan.

You will also find in there advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

If it persists consult a your GP or physio.
