Oh I am getting silly now!

Think my mind may be getting used to getting fitter, my birthday in April thought a weekend away , somewhere nice, narrowed the hotels down to two, both having very good gyms and a swimming pool. Have I lost the plot? Will be nice to get up before breaky and have a nice 5k run, then shower, breakfast, then hit the gym etc. Oh how life is changing, half way C25K on Monday so should be doing enough not to embarrass myself hopefully.

Sounds a more than reasonable way to choose a hotel to me... which one is nearest to a parkrun? 🤣

It sounds silly to me...........find a hotel in glorious natural landscapes and forget about the gym.

Your enthusiasm is to be admired!

Please take it gradually. Your body needs time to adjust to new regime. Three periods of 30 mins running will be enough then modest other activitiy on other days eg walking swimming cycling will bring gradual strengthening and lessening the possibility of injury.
