THEY MADE ME DO IT.....

I must need my bumps felt. After my last post Copping Out (some of) the replies made me feel disappointed in myself so I thought I better get my bahooki into gear and get out there. Rainbow66 I saw your post too late - I'd got all my running togs on by then. Runningmigster the gauntlet had been thrown so I got my 'mature body' (Roxdog!) out there. Oh! it was cold and wet and very windy. I went on a different run and listened to something different too. BBC Sounds - Tunnel 29 - interesting - very interesting. Looking ahead at the hills I found very daunting. Running in to the wind too. I put my timer on for 15 minutes and then on again for the second half of the run. It was on the way back with the wind behind me that I felt that I'd finally found my pace. The timer went off again but I still had a little way to run to get back to my car ( I drive to run in different places) It was at this point that I thought In for a penny in for a pound and decided to do the longest 35 minute run of the W1Magic10 AND I finally cracked the 5k so that's me done the hard bit! Soaked to the skin but feeling greeaaat! Thanks (I think) to those of you who got me out there. You know who you are! Now back to the garden centre, ironing and rugby ๐Ÿ˜

There's nothing better than posting on here to get your mojo going and your bahooki out for a run!

Well done on a great and time.

' Love 'bahooki' - my Scottish in laws taught me that one and I love it!๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks. One of my favourite Scottish words!

Am going to have to google bahooki! Well done on getting out there and nailing it, despite the wind and weather. Hope you're buzzing for the rest of the day. โ˜บ

It's a Scottish word for your 'derriรจre'!

Buzzing? I let out a real whoop when I finished. One of the advantages of running in the middle of nowhere- no-one can hear you!

Fantastic, I had a feeling it might mean that.

Rugby! Watching not playing after all that magnificence I hope!

Couldn't even if I wanted to. No, light the fire and curl up in front of the tv is what I'm going to do ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fantastic, good for you. I must admit whenever I have felt a bit defeated and have posted I have also been encouraged to go out and without fail have done so and felt great after!

I shall remember to be more encouraging in future and now because of this I will also get my kit on and get out there. I was putting it off until tomorrow but it is beautiful and sunny here.

See the ripple effect you get in here. ๐Ÿ˜Š

It really is amazing how things turned themselves around this morning! How lucky you are to have sunshine. We've had nothing but rain and wind for days. I hope you enjoyed your run as much as I enjoyed mine. 1๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks. It was windy but beautiful sunshine. Sadly I really struggled today and only did about 3.5k as not feeling great. Map my run also stopped recording at 1.5k for some reason.

Anyway Iโ€™m happy I got out into the lovely fresh air. Every run, no matter how bad is better than no run! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Isn't that just the way? Your out there enjoying yourself and an app gives up the ghost! You're right though, any run is a run ๐Ÿ˜‰

I feel like, in some small way, I've got my own back for the time I've been happily sat on my butt, warm and dry and the posts on here have made me get out there.

But, dont you feel good now! Really proud of you for just getting out there and doing it!

Good on ya!

Mig
