Hello all, would be grateful for your advice/experience. I started Wk1 again, so determined to do it this time, and immediately developed sore knees. I read the advice on here about taking two rest days between runs and getting news shoes, implemented it, and my knees have better but not perfect. Yesterday I had triumphantly finished my last Wk 1 run, was walking home and I tripped on a paving stone. Landed quite hard, but thought I’d got away with just grazes and bruises. Then was woken in the night by pain in my groin; today it’s sore to walk on. So my questions are:
1. Is the groin pain from the fall? Or just a coincidence that it developed on the day of the fall?
2. Should I rest the groin or stretch it? Exercise on it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Definitely go to the doctor, it may be nothing but better to be safe than sorry. Tell them about your running plans, and go from there. No point aggravating a possible injury at this stage. Good luck, let us know how you get on, 🤞for you 🌶
Thanks so much for the responses. I’ll go to the GP if not better tomorrow and stay away from the stretches. So frustrating to have groin pain just when I thought I’d dodged the knee bullet ! But it’s there and I’m determined to stick with the programme.
Thank you again for the responses. The advice was to rest and so ... I now have to start Wk1 AGAIN!!!! This was already after stretching it out over two weeks to allow for extra rest days. I’m so afraid I’m not going to find the motivation to start again. I’m posting here to remind myself that I’m part of the community and that it will all be worth it. I commit to starting again and to reminding myself about all the reasons why I chose to do this .. why I WANT to do this. I do.
