W2R1 last night, but I'm going to have to rethink my schedule...

Ran last night and only ended up getting out the door at quarter to 10 and the whole way I just felt like my dinner was sitting way too heavily. ๐Ÿ˜• I'd planned to go out as soon as I got home, but then one thing after another conspired to prevent me. I think I'm going to have to try going out at 6am next week instead.

I nearly ditched it for the day entirely but you know what stopped me? The thought that I wouldn't be able to post on here! Not that the C25K police are checking up on me or anything but I guess I've just decided to post up each run here and it's working as a way of keeping me accountable, even if it is all fictional!

So to any other newbies out there - post your runs! Keep yourself accountable!

Weekend tomorrow - happy running!

Absolutely keep posting. You know what go easy on yourself in these early week as you will be learning about what works for you and trying different things. Youโ€™ll soon find a structure that will suit you. I would say exercise at least 2-3 hours after a lunch or dinner meal as they tend or be heavier and make you slump a bit.

But well done you got out there

I so get ya, here helps, big time!

Keep on keeping on ... we know it makes sense!

๐Ÿคฃknow what you mean! The c25k police may be fictional but this place really makes you want to stay accountable ๐Ÿ˜Š I could never have completed it first time without here. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m back ๐Ÿ˜ Nowt like a kick up the bum ( northern slang) on here to spur you on. Good luck ๐Ÿ€ Juggling family, work and โ€˜youโ€™ is hard, keep at it though ๐Ÿ‘

'ello, ello, ello! Did we nearly have a misdemeanor? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Massively impressed that you got out there and did it. That it real dedication.

I feel your struggle though. Even now, I'm all over the place with my running. I love early morning, but I struggle to get up :-).

You though, are going great. Really well done.

We were watching and we would know...ha ha!

Well done you.... it is hard to get out when life conspires against you...Early running is fabulous and sets you up for the day...it is getting lighter and the days are beginning to stretch...

Set your gear out the night before... plan the route and you are good to go,:)

in reply to Oldfloss

My friend has been known to sleep in her running gear if she feels her resolve is going to be low in the morning....

I have told her I think that's taking it a little too far....๐Ÿ˜‚

Love it...๐Ÿคฃ

I put mine out..and I still get a buzz, knowing the next day is a run day x

That is quite extreme, ๐Ÿ˜ but getting into running gear as soon as I get out of bed is sometimes the only thing that works for me ๐Ÿ˜Š

I do that for gym mornings and I find it helps but hadn't thought to do it for running mornings.

Haha. That's great! The forum is working it's magic!

Well done for getting out and running though. I know what you mean about the accountability.....Posting on here is a great motivator to get out there.

I generally run in the morning (unless it's icy), but tomorrow I need to be super-early as I'm on mum-taxi ๐Ÿš• duty for my son who plays rugby.

Gosh now I've put that in writing. I'll have to follow through....

Ha, running on top of dinner is a real challenge but you did it, posting runs especially in the early days is fun isnโ€™t it? and later itโ€™s motivating for new runners

Enjoy your rest day and your next run

๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธGood for you for getting out there. I'm always full of admiration for folk who run through complicated lives and commitments. I never managed it when I was working.

I know how you feel. I'm on w2r3 tomorrow. It's so easy to say sack it I'll go tomorrow. I can't run after eating so it forces me to go as soon as I get home. Well done you for still getting out! Stay determined! It will pay off

I can't run in the evening I feel too knackered. Always run in the morning big drink of water and a banana and of I go. When I drag myself out of bed I often think this is madness but the the runs done I feel great. Keep going! X

๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ‘ฎ Just checking! ๐Ÿ˜

Well done for getting out there, I agree with oldfloss that going first thing in the morning can work really well once it gets lighter. Oldfloss is very wise you know! Just try a few different things to see what's best for you.
