Fibro frustration again

Feeling a little fed up and frustrated that I haven’t felt up to running since Friday. But yet again the Fibromyalgia has intervened and my entire body just hurts and even walking on the school run today was hard work. Joys of having had yet another stressful weekend. Hopefully back at it tomorrow but will have to see how I feel.

Don't stress about it. I was feeling crap last week and never ran for about 4 days. Went tonight though and it was hard but I managed it. Just remember that you can have longer than one rest day. No one is counting 👍👍

Thank you Hooper, I appreciate that. I’m glad you managed to get back out and do your run.

You are acutely aware of your body's needs, and know not to over tax it, so that at least, is something. There is no time limit to completing this and we all have to work with the bodies we have.

Just remember that although the plan talks about "weeks", it's not a week in the traditional, calendar, 7 day sense. A "week" is simply a handy term for how long it takes to complete each set of three runs successfully and you can have as many days in your "week" as you need. Due to severe tendonitis, my longest "week" lasted almost 8 months when I first attempted this.

If you think of it in these terms, the plan only ever takes 9 "weeks" so you are always on schedule...

Hope you're back up and running (literally) again soon.

Thank you so much. That’s a good way to look at it and I feel less stressed about not going.

100% on board with the comments already made.

Think of the program as a framework to success and not as a rigid plan.

Despite fully completing every run that I went out on, I still didnt complete the program in 9 weeks. Life gets in the way sometimes. And quite rightly, you're doing the right thing now and listening to your body.

Dont worry about. The program will always be there. You just need to get out again when you feel ready.

You'll get there, I know you will.
