Conscious decision to have a second rest day yesterday (overtired & achy hip), so very pleased to be back at it today with run 2 of week 2. Really want to go again tomorrow, but all advice seems to say not. Really tempting, though!

No no no don’t run on consecutive days you need the rest day for your muscles to repair after your run

If you are achey then 2 rest days might be a good plan, there is no hurry to finish the plan is to get you running for 30 minutes without injury

You're right, I know. I'll look forward to Monday for my final run of week 2, & enjoy a pilates class tomorrow

Yoga and pilates are great for runners

The number 1 rule of C25K is not to run on consecutive days, next run for you is Monday.

Lead us not in to temptation, but deliver us some cross training. Something like that anyway!

Great job, good decision to take the extra rest day with the achy hip. Learning to take the extra rest and listen to the body is almost as important as learning to run... you’ll go far!

I love the stage where you’re loving the program so much that you’re desperate to go out every day 😊 You’re very wise not to though. The last thing you want is an injury and not being able to run at all!

Don't even think about it, especially if you've had achy hips. Be kind to your body and it will be kind to you.
