Did my first day of my New Years resolutions today. First C25K run done (wasn’t actually as bad as I thought but still a long way to go) and stuck within my calories. I’m using MyFitnessPal to track both.
Any advice for me? What do you wish you knew when you first started? Also has anyone tried foam rolling to help with a saw calf after running or anything else that has worked?

Well done on getting started, the top tips i got on here that have worked wonders are as follows: Make sure you take your rest days, they are really important! Drink plenty EVERY day not just the days you run. Go slow, REALLY slow if need be so that you are going at a pace you can hold a conversation and be understood instead of just puffing and panting. Read the posts on here, there is loads of good advice.
On a personal note, follow the plan, trust that it works and most of all enjoy it
My fitness pal was a really good app for me when I did a big diet. More than anything it just helped me to understand the amount of calories things were, I was a bit deluded before that!
I wish I had known to be slower sooner, that will help with the calf pain too, although I have heard that the rollers are good, having a good stretch afterwards seems to have done the job for me.
