⭐️💥 BACK RUNNING AFTER NEARLY A YEAR OFF ⭐️💥

Hi everyone, I’ve dusted off my running trainers and I’m back...

Part of me can’t believe I’m even doing this again but I am and I need some tips to get back into the groove and move some of this Christmas tummy 😬 So has anyone got any tips on getting back into the swing of it? Any stretching tips? Any tips on helping me getting back into the mindset that I actually like running? Also do most of you wear Fit Bits? Would it be worth investing?

Thanks everyone, happy new year 💕

Thanks for replying! Well done on your 2nd run btw! Ah okay, I work in a office job meaning I literally don’t move from my desk from 9-5 so I’ve avoided using fit bits cos I know it’ll make me feel bad😂 my boyfriend said I could use his old one so I may give it a go! X

Yeah. Pinch his & try it out 😂. I only did 4-6k a day at the beginning now I’m on 13k at least a day. Shocking myself haha

& Thank you

I use a Fitbit but not really for the running (I just find it interesting to see how a gentle run is sooooooooo much better cardiac exercise than a tough brisk walk). I use the Runkeeper app on my phone to look at distances (best left till after the programme).

Best mindset is to just do it. Just show up. You don't have to enjoy brushing your teeth or even be thinking about avoiding gum disease and caries to do it, and it can be the same for running. That said, I find that sometimes a non-running related motivation helps eg wondering what it is like down that path, wanting to see a particular view etc.

Thanks for responding! I took your advice and got straight out of bed, chucked my running gear on and went, didn’t stick to the app just ran when I felt good, thanks for the advice! X
