Welcome to the forum and well done

on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Hills build stamina but there is no need to struggle.

Run uphill as far as you can then turn round and run back down.........this mucks up round routes but will gently build your ability to cope with hills.

Enjoy your journey.

They are not compulsory if you can find flat routes go for it. I tackled a flyover only during c25k then have slowly introduced gentle slopes. Guess what, they’re not actually as bad as you tear if you take them really slowly and start with litter ones. And running down the other side can be such fun.

I do too. I am a graduate and I still avoid hills while jogging. The weird thing is, when I go for a walk I look for hills.

Hills make hardier runners 😁 just take it slow and steady, always feels great when you get up there! 👍🏻

It's in the mind really. Just think ' I'm now in first gear.' Run slowly up the hill. No probs x
