My first run of week 8 was considerably brightened up when I came upon this wild Christmas tree in the wood! I’ve been pavement bound in the darkness for so long that it was a real treat for dog and I to get out round the wood - and this just fair made me smile!!!
Happy runnings everyone!😁

I know! I’m still smiling about it now! It’s just so lovely to get out after working all daylight hours in the office and running in the dark, slow going in the mud but dog loves it! Think it will be back to the pavements for the remainder of the runs, just to be in the safe side!
Exactly, it’s great to run in daylight on days off even when it’s cold and damp, but roll on spring I’m looking forward to run in the evenings more after work
Great photo of that Spruce 🎄 tree with the Christmas decorations on it, believe it or not, last year when I ran, run 3 of week 7 in June, I passed a Spruce tree 🎄 decorated with Christmas decorations, no one who passed that tree knew or could understand why whoever decorated that tree did it, very strange indeed.
🤣 yes I can believe it! There was another young tree decorated the wood about 11 years ago (our first xmas here) but nobody undecorated it and it kept its deccies on for a good few years! It wasn’t quite as tastefully done as this one so we presumed it’d been kids... wonder if the original tree decorator has visited the wood in adulthood?!!
