Actually managing to write this up on the day 😝

Starting off is very odd for me, I have a slight uphill then slight downhill then up again all before I can settle into a comfortable pace, and by 'comfortable' I mean ignoring the screaming calfs and taking deep breaths to get the air needed to be able to carry on😝

I was thinking it will be nice to be able to start at 'my' pace and run this bit without feeling I need to slow down or I'm not gonna make it but I know that will come eventually.

I was desperate for the walking break and when it finally came I was looking forward to taking some deep breaths and giving my calfs a break..... How can my calfs hurt so much more when I stop running?! They were so on fire I actually "arghhh'd" out loud πŸ˜•

The second run was obviously just knuckle down and dig in, mind over matter, keep breathing, keep those legs moving and sure enough I made it. Thankfully the legs were dead enough at this point they didn't seem to hurt so much when I stopped.

Looking forward to Friday's challange πŸ‘

Great running Remkins. About your calf pain , can I ask are you stretching after EVERY run and are you still keeping up with 2-3 litres of water per day and not just on run days. Just a few thoughts 😊

I am, I even stretch my calfs and ankles laying in bed and I've always been good at hydrating. My hamstrings are and have always been very tight. I haven't been able to touch my toes since I was about 10 😝
