Just wondering what everyone’s routine is.

My mum got me a fantastic book called ‘The runners world cookbook’ it’s made me think a lot about what I eat in preparation and for recovery.

What do you guys swear by?

I run at lunchtime, and I generally don't eat before a run (I'm not a breakfast person, if I'm hungry I'll have a babybel at some point in the morning).

After a run I have a protein shake.

I try to time any exercise so that I have protein after it, doesn't always work out. I have my dinner/tea then go to kettlercise and don't have anything after it !

Most of my runs are ran at least two hours after I have a 'light' breakfast, for example I usually have finished my breakfast by 7.15am on a Saturday when I will be running a parkrun at 9.30am, so that's more than 2 hours, my midweek run on a Wednesday is usually around 9.15, so even there, its at least two hours after breakies. 😊

Got to be 2 weetabix 2 hours before my run. Think that's my lucky charm 🤗

You were asking about protein shakes and now you mention wheeabix, you can buy a product called protibricks, it combines wheetabix and protein.

I have a banana and some orange juice (about 100ml) about half an hour before I run - I eat everything I have in the kitchen when I get back. :D

I run in the evening on weekdays and morning at weekends. I always run one hour after I have eaten, I do other exercises before I run. Straight after my session I take a protein shake then I'm off for a shower.

I run after work, and mornings at weekends. I try to leave at least 2 hrs after eating to go for my run. If not I get indigestion and stitch. Works a treat for me. 😀🏃‍♀️

I only have water before a run then water and a banana after sometimes wholemeal toast and scrambled egg about half hour later that’s for my morning run if it’s later in the day ( which I’m not keen on ) I try to leave it half hour after I’ve eaten anything - including few cheeky biscuits
