Please help me out all you wonderful people. I done W6 R2 a week ago and I have been laid up since with a virus I’m feeling much better now and planning to get back out either 2moro or Wednesday Can I start straight in at W6 R3 or do I need to go back a bit?

Now my point of view may be skewed I admit, as I'm currently on the IC, but if it were me, and the symptoms were from the neck up mainly, as it, not strains/sprains etc, I would give W6R3 a bash. It's only been a week, so you shouldn't have lost much fitness. I guess you could probably repeat run 2 if you wanted to, but bear in mind it's quite OK to stop or slow down if you feel it's too much. No such thing as a bad run, only practice runs!!

Glad you're feeling better :)

Thanks :-) seriously, if you do have to stop, please don't beat yourself up about it. Keep it nice and steady, I think you'll do it ;)

Hi Hidden ...I wondered where you’d been...you were conspicuous by your absence....now, I am certainly no expert...but, in my humble opinion I would get out there & have a go at run 3, I doubt you’ve lost much stamina so you may get a pleasant surprise...I’m out tomorrow so I’ll run along with you just incase you get a bit tired...😉

in reply to Mummycav

Thank you mummycav! We will do it together 😊 it’s nice to be back I have missed everyone

I’m no expert but I think if it was me I’d have a go at run 3 and if it was too tough I’d cut it down to mirror run 2 or whatever I could manage and build on that. NOT beating yourself up if so at all.

Nice to see you posting again

in reply to Sadeskin

Thank you 😊 I will give Run 3 my best shot

Hey Hidden how did you get on? I would have said try the next run. I hadn't ran fir 3 weeks Saturday just gone and I found my stamina was quite low, but I just did a normal run as I've done the C25K podcast. I stopped and started several times, no shame in it and now I've done that, I don't feel as if I'm beating myself up so much. It's how you feel at the time, I hope you were pleased with your run anyway 😊
