Hi,

Just wondering is anybody using the programme on a treadmill?

Struggling with weight loss and kids, life and looking after my dad mean I have very little time but need to start somewhere and at the minute a treadmill is my only option.

I previously ran very well before having youngest two children did a lot of the 10K charity runs but have lost all confidence so Any advice is most welcome!

Thanks

Lots of people on here use the treadmill. You are obviously very busy and and you can fit in your runs that way then great.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

Just go slow and drink lots of water 7 days a week. Keep coming on here and posting and reading . You can do this

My goodness you have a lot going on in your life but treat your runs as "me time " and enjoy them. The cto5k program is great and you get praise the whole way through not just from the podcast but this forum too.

That’s the other reason I want to do this- I don’t get a minute to myself, I need something just for me.

Thank you, nice to see others giving advice and help I’m always wary of online forums etc.

I did the whole programme except for 2 runs on the treadmill. If you put the incline setting at 1 it mimics running on the flat outdoors so will make a transition to outdoors running easier if you want to do that.

I only finished the programme this week and am intending to run both outside and on a treadmill to fit in with my life needs

How have you found the programme?

Do you see and feel your progression?

I really struggled with the first runs like a lot of people do as was really unfit but now running 30 mins continuously. Very slowly but I can definitely feel a real increase in my fitness. I still don't find the 30 mins easy, but it gives you a real buzz when you manage to complete each section of the programme

I live in Louisiana, USA and I completed the program in the Summer. I started running outside but the temperature was horrible. I transitioned to the treadmill and I loved it!
