5-10K Apps?

Hi guys- I’m just on my final week of C25K and looking to keep the momentum going. Been looking for a follow on app up to 10K- any recommendations for a good one please? 🙂

Congratulations on getting to week 9, for the next few weeks it is advisable to do consolidation runs, 3x 30 minute runs just to get the extra miles on your legs.

After that you can then look at increasing distance, etc, there are a number of plans, etc, and some apps, I would recommend Ju Ju's magic plan in the Bridge to 10k forum, you can do it on either time or distance; time will get you running for 1 hour irrespective of distance, distance will obviously get you to 10k. There isn't an app for this but it is very well devised.

I haven't tried any 5-10k app, I know there are ones out there but I've been loosely following Ju Ju's plan, already did the hour version, working on the distance one now.

After Graduation, consolidation is the name of the game.. getting more runs in to continue the building up of the new running legs and our stamina and strength...short runs, 30 minute runs... and the lovely long, see where you get to runs.

They are the ones that build everything up ready for whatever you choose to do next!

Ju jus magic plan is great after consolidation. You can do it either timed to 60mins or distance to 10k. Get those consolidation runs in 1st though

Another one for JuJu. It's not an app, there's a pinned post at the top of bridgeto10k. I've printed the plan out and it's on my fridge! You can just start it when you're ready, or sign up for the next intake and do it with some virtual running buddies. It's like Oldfloss recommends, but with the longer runs getting gradually longer, plus suggestions for strength exercises each week.
