So pleased I found this forum. Just completed W7D2. It doesn’t get any easier but I am able to run for longer. I am not fast but manage to run the time required.

Does it get any easier?

Congratulations on getting to week 7, just take all the runs slowly, it does get easier, but only gradually, you have almost completed the program, not long now until you graduate 😁 🏃🏾

Welcome to the forum Itzbronte! 😃 You’ve already come a very long way🤩. The forum will really help you to settle down into your routines with less concerns, because we’ve all either been there or on our way there.

I would say, in my humble opinion, that yes it does get easier and we are here to help you take it easy and keep going when it feels challenging in any way. The support on here is phenomenal 😁.

Keep posting. It’s a great incentive and you have so many cheerleaders now! You’re no longer going it alone. So, well done for what’s already been a great achievement. And...the best bit.....there’s more to come! ❤️

Well done getting this far, it does get easier - just relax into the runs, forget about an arbitrary speed like 5k in 30mins and just enjoy the freedom of running. If you have a chance to run new routes in interesting locations that builds on the enjoyment. Happy running

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... explains the recommended easy conversational pace which makes it so much more achievable and for many more enjoyable.

C25K is about duration, not speed..

Enjoy your journey.

Yes it gets easier, but it can be the mindset too. Rather than thinking "is it over yet" or "how many more minutes to do" try to think positive things like "I can do this, look at me, I can run for x minutes" "we've got x minutes left to enjoy" (I always tend to think "we" as I see my mind and body as a team, they work best together but can work against each other too).

If you're listening to music it, use it as a time to get lost in your favourite tunes, being reminded of when you first heard them etc.

Have fun with it too... just cause we're "grown ups" doesn't mean we don't enjoy jumping a puddle or skipping off a kerb, sticking our arms out downhill, feeling the fresh air in our faces... recapture that childlike joy from when we could just run without worrying about knees or backs or anything at all 🤣

Most of all, keep it up, cause you're doing great 👍🏻😁
